1. Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to the Ember mobile app, the Ember website at emberlife.app, and related services we provide.
2. Information We Collect
This is Ember's current data map. Some data is saved only on your device. Some is synced to Ember's cloud services if you sign in or use features that require an account.

Ember does not collect full payment card numbers. Ember does not use your name, email, private reflections, or guild messages for third-party ad tracking.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and protect your account.
- Save and restore your progress across devices.
- Personalize quests, rituals, rewards, and reflections.
- Show guild activity to people in the same guild.
- Send login codes, reminders, and service messages.
- Show, limit, reward, and measure ads if advertising is available.
- Manage trials, subscriptions, purchases, and Premium access.
- Improve app reliability, safety, and product quality.
- Prevent abuse, spam, or unsafe use of the service.
4. AI Coach And Reflections
Ember may offer an AI Coach for reflection and guidance. If you use AI features, your profile, recent progress, and the text you submit may be sent to our AI service provider so a response can be generated. Do not enter sensitive information you would not want processed by an AI provider.
The AI Coach is not medical, mental health, legal, financial, or professional advice. It is a reflection tool.
5. Advertising And Purchases
Ember may show ads, including rewarded ads. Advertising partners may process information such as device information, advertising identifiers, ad views, ad interactions, and approximate app activity to deliver, limit, measure, and improve ads. We do not use your name or email address for ad tracking.
Ember may also offer paid subscriptions or Premium features. Payments are handled by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or another payment provider. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive and store purchase or entitlement status so Premium features work in the app.
6. Sharing Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help Ember operate, such as:
- Supabase for authentication, database, and cloud sync.
- Resend for login and service emails.
- OpenAI or another AI provider for AI Coach features.
- Vercel for website hosting.
- RevenueCat, Apple, or Google for purchases, subscriptions, and entitlement checks.
- Google AdMob or other advertising partners if ads are available in the app.
If you join a guild, other guild members may see your display name and guild-related activity, such as check-ins, encouragement, and shared progress. Private reflections stay private unless you choose to share them.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your account data unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, or abuse prevention reasons.

9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a safe email account and do not share login codes with anyone.
10. Children
Ember is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International Use
Ember may use service providers in different countries. By using Ember, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.
12. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Ember changes. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice inside the app or website.
